Day 01 LOMBOK-GILI
On arrival in Lombok Airport, direct transfer to Pemenang Harbor to
get on board a local motorized boat to Gili Trawangan. Afternoon
free program. Overnight at Dive Indonesia Hotel.
Day 02 GILI
Today is a free day, take the opportunity to finish that book that
you were supposed to read, enjoy the beach, make a snorkelling excursion.
Day 03 GILI-SENGGIGI-SUMBAWA BESAR
An early morning car trip will take you to Labuhan Lombok, Lombok’s
east coast ferry port, from there you will take a one and a half
hour boat trip to Sumbawa Island. On arrival in Tano your journey
continues
to Sumbawa Besar the Capitol Town of Sumbawa. Your overnight stay
will be in an exotic hotel located on the beach where there are several
activities including diving and snorkelling.
Day 04 SUMBAWA BESAR-BIMA
Today you have a scenic drive to Bima passing through small villages,
rice terraces and mountain ranges. A stop on route is made at Labuhan
Jamba, a small traditional fishing village and then onto Bima for a
night in this interesting city.
Day 05 BIMA-SAPE-KOMODO
After breakfast you have a 1.5 hr drive to Sape, and then you take
a boat to the Komodo Archipelago, for many people this is the highlight
of the whole trip. Your overnight stay is on a comfortable and cosy
boat that has all facilities. The main attraction on Komodo is seeing
the famous Komodo dragon in its natural habitat. The Komodo is the
biggest reptile on earth and closely related to the dinosaurs. A local
guide will show you around and explain the life of this unique reptile,
You can also choose to make a hike for 1.5 hrs on this Island. Inca
Island is the next stop, this is where we shall anchor and spend another
night aboard our boat.
Day 06 KOMODO-LABUANBAJO
Early morning trekking to Banunggulung in Komodo Island for another
chance to see the Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. Then proceed
to Pink Beach for swimming and snorkeling. After lunch proceed to Rinca
Island. Afternoon trekking in Rinca for another chance to see the Komodo
dragons and other wild animals in their natural habitat. Late afternoon
arriving in Labuan Bajo and transfer to Bajo Eco Lodge hotel or similar
for dinner and overnight.
Day 08 LABUANBAJO-RUTENG
After breakfast drive to Ruteng. This morning’s scenic drive
takes you from the dryer part of West Flores to the more fertile
and greener Ruteng area, with colourful flamboyant flowers, bamboo
forests,
rice terraces and puffing volcanoes. Ruteng is a small quiet catholic
town which has a lively shopping and market area. Ruteng is situated
high in the hills so a great place to cool off with fresh sea breezes
and cool mountain air.
Day 09 RUTENG-BAJAWA
The road to Bajawa leads you through tropical mountain forests of West
Flores. In the afternoon you arrive in Bajawa at 1200 metres above
sea level. This small village although mainly catholic still practices
and respects the traditional old animist ways, the culture of the Ngada
region, respecting and obeying the older cults that obey the megalithic
and enigmatical ancestors.
Day 10 BAJAWA
A free day to do as you please, trekking can be done with an experienced
local guide, relax at your hotel, or settle yourself down in one the
few cafes, drink tea and catch the sights and sounds of downtown Bajawa.
Afternoon enjoy the warm water holes and waterfalls of Soa is on the
program, so don't forget your towel and swimsuit.
Day 11 BAJAWA-RIUNG
A visit to the warm water holes and waterfalls of Soa is on the program,
so don't forget your towel and swimsuit. The ride continues across
the Island to Riung. This small village is not connected with the Trans
Flores Road so nice and quiet without many tourists and is known for
its beautiful coral gardens.
Day 12 RIUNG-DETUSOKO
After breakfast transfer to the harbor to get on a local boat to Ontoloe
Island to see thousand of bats and land for swimming and snorkeling.
After lunch drive to Detusoko. The overnight stay is a mission post
of Franciscan nuns, the warm welcome and hospitality of this community
will be printed in your memory.
Day 13 DETUSOKO-KELIMUTU-MAUMERE
Before dawn you precede to the Keli Mutu Volcano to enjoy an overwhelming
and stunning early sunrise. On a clear day Keli Mutu has been said
to be one of the Worlds most spectacular spots to catch a glimpse of
the sunrise and the surroundings. The colours of the three lakes near
the Mountain change frequently due to a rapidly changing chemical process.
The lakes in the past were the centre for ritual ceremonies. It is
been said that the souls of the elderly find their burial side in the
lake, the young ones will go to the other lake and the witches and
bad ones will find their final resting place in the last lake.Via Moni
you will end up in Maumere, during the '1992 a big earthquake hit this
city heavily but it has now been rebuilt. You will be staying in a
home stay near the beach.
Day 14 MAUMERE-KUPANG
Breakfast at hotel. Morning free at leisure. After lunch at hotel direct
transfer to the Airport to depart for Kupang - Timor Island. On arrival
at Eltari Airport of Kupang, transfer to KRISTAL HOTEL for accommodation
and dinner.
Day 15 KUPANG-WAINGAPU
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the airport for flight to Waingapu.
On arrival at Mau'Hau Airport of Waingapu - East Sumba, transfer
to your hotel. After having lunch drive to Melolo, 62 km to the East
to
visit Pau and Praiyawang for traditional houses which, stone graves
and spectacular traditional "Ikat" weaving process. Return
to hotel for overnight
Day16 WAINGAPU-WAIKABUBAK
After breakfast drive to Waikabubak in West Sumba a distance of 137
km (4 hours). On the way stops at Waibakul and Pasunga (Anakalang area)
to see the greatest stone graves and traditional houses of West Sumbanese.
On arrival at Waikabubak direct check-in to HOTEL MANANDANG or similar.
Afternoon visit Tarung and Tabar traditional village. Meals and overnight
at hotel.
Day 17 WAIKABUABAK
Breakfast at hotel. Start to explore West part of Sumba, drive to Kodi
for 2 hours to visit Bondo Kodi, Ronambaroro and Ratenggaro villages
for traditional thatched roof and highest towering (10 meters) houses
and megalithic tombs. Then walk along the beautiful and quite beaches,
then cross the river (if the water permits) to Waiyapu village, another
West Sumbanese traditional village.
Day 18 WAIKABUBAK-DENPASAR
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to the Airport for flight to Denpasar,
Bali.

WHAT TO BRING:
Dress is casual. Clothing should be light, preferably cotton with at least one
long sleeved shirt and pants. Bathing suit, thongs or sandals and sneakers or
walking boots, lots of film, camera, replacement batteries, and spares. Women
please note Indonesia is a mostly Muslim country and custom dictates modesty.
Please be well covered on shore excursions. Bring one light sweater or jacket
as it can get cool in the highlands. Also bring sun-screen, insect repellent,
sunglasses, sunhat, swimmers. Please advise beforehand if you have any special
dietary requirements. Beer is available at local rates. Bring also your passport,
visa, airline tickets, local currency and or US$ in small denominations.
